Won-Young Lee is currently a professor at Sungkyunkwan University School of Medicine in Seoul, Korea. He graduated from the College of Medicine of the Catholic University of Korea in 1991, and completed his residency and fellowship in the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at St. Mary’s Hospital, the Catholic University of Korea School of Medicine in 2001. He received his PhD from the Catholic University of Korea in 2003. He was a visiting scholar at the Departments of Endocrinology and Preventive Medicine of the University of California, San Diego in the USA from 2015 to 2016.

Dr. Lee is now the director of the publication committee of the Korean Endocrine Society, the director of the NHIS MOU committee of the Korean Society for the Study of Obesity, the director of the finance committee of Korean Society of Cardiovascular Disease Prevention, the director of the research committee of the Korean Diabetes Association, the consultation editor of Cardiovascular prevention and pharmacotherapy, and an associate editor of Diabetes Research and Clinical Practice

He has published more than 150 articles in international journals, and his main research area is glucolipotoxicity and its relationships with pancreatic beta cell function, diabetic complications, and obesity.

Dr. Park is a professor of internal medicine at Seoul National University College of Medicine and chief of the Thyroid Center at Seoul National University Hospital. Her current research activities are centered on the molecular pathogenesis of advanced thyroid cancer and the development of personalized therapy using molecular diagnostics.

Dr. Han Seok Choi is a professor in the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism at Dongguk University Ilsan Hospital. He graduated from the Yonsei University College of Medicine in Korea in 1999, and obtained his PhD from the same university in 2012. He completed his residency and fellowship in the Department of Internal Medicine at Severance Hospital, the Yonsei University College of Medicine in 2009. He was a visiting scholar at the University of California, San Francisco from 2017 to 2018. He has published peer-reviewed papers in the areas of bone and mineral metabolism, glucose metabolism, and general endocrinology. His current research activities are focused on vitamin D, parathyroid hormone, and calcium-sensing receptors.

Dr. Jung Hee Kim is currently an associate professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at Seoul National University Hospital and College of Medicine in Seoul, Korea. She graduated from the Seoul National University College of Medicine summa cum laude and completed her residency in the Department of Internal Medicine at Seoul National University Hospital and fellowship in the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at Seoul National University Bundang Hospital. She also received her PhD from the Seoul National University College of Medicine. She is now the Director of the Pituitary Center at Seoul National University Hospital.
She currently serves as vice-secretary general of the Korean Endocrine Society, and is an active member in several committees of the Korean Endocrine Society. She also participates in several study groups, including the Adrenal Study Group, the Neuroendocrine Study Group, and the Rare Disease Study Group of the Korean Endocrine Society. Her research projects encompass clinical to translational research regarding pituitary and adrenal gland diseases. She has published more than 100 articles in international journals.

Dr. Mee Kyoung Kim is a professor of internal medicine at Yeouido St. Mary’s Hospital, the Catholic University of Korea School of Medicine, Seoul, Korea. She graduated from the College of Medicine of the Catholic University of Korea in 2001, and received her PhD from the Catholic University of Korea in 2012. She was a visiting scholar in the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism & Gerontology at Stanford University in the USA in 2015. Her current research activities focus on obesity and gut hormones.

Eun-Jung Rhee graduated from Ewha Womans University Medical School in 1997. She finished her residency and fellowship in endocrinology and metabolism at Kangbuk Samsung Hospital, Sungkyunkwan University School of Medicine, Seoul, Korea. She received her PhD from the Catholic University of Korea in 2009. She worked as a visiting professor in the cardiovascular division of Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard University, Boston, Massachusetts, USA from 2010 to 2011. She is currently a professor in the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism at Kangbuk Samsung Hospital, Sungkyunkwan University School of Medicine, Seoul, Korea. She is currently working as a director without portfolio of the Korean Endocrine Society, the vice-secretary general of the Korean Diabetes Association, and the secretary of the Clinical Practice Guidelines Committee of the Korean Society of Lipidology and Atherosclerosis, and Atherosclerosis, and the assistant editor of Journal of Diabetes Investigation. She has published more than 150 articles in international journals, and her areas of expertise are the vascular complica- tions of diabetes and the relationship between metabolic diseases and vascular calcification.
